All of this is me complaining.
I tired of not having money. Also let me ask you this if you came home from a long day of hardwork and haven't eaten all day how would you like to find out that someone ate all your food? That's how I feel when someone takes my stuff. It's hard being the youngest.I'm all for sharing, but I think I deserve at least one thing of my own.I have to admit it's getting to me.I just want to get some money and by my own things. It feels like everytime I get something I have to hide it.The only thing that nobody touches are my clothes because I'm the only one who can fit in them.18 is too far away for me.

I was earning money away from home since I was eight. And I used to do anything that would earn me money...collect refundable bottles at the side of the roadway (you could make REAL money doing that in my day!). Selling the excess vegetables from our home garden through the neighbourhood. Setting up a lemonade stand on the hottest summer days. Walking the neighbourhood dogs. Weeding peoples gardens. Cutting peoples lawns. Delivering daily papers. Babysitting.

That list is all my jobs between the age of 8 to 12 years of age. When I was 12 my Mom had me take over all cooking and laundry and cleaning duties in the home, so she could devote full-time to her business. I got paid for my efforts--not as much as I could have made elsewhere, but I was helping her as well...and doing everything to care for 2 adults and 5 kids wasn't easy. And I kept the babysitting jobs right up until I went to college.

You can always find something that isn't illegal to make money. I suggest checking with your older neighbours. They are often the ones that need most the services of young hands to do odd jobs that they can no longer do. Maybe you could wash their windows for a flat fee? Or strip and rewax their floors? Or just do a little shopping for them? Once you are trusted as a girl of your word, the possibilities are endless.

The Fair Labor Standards Act states that the minimum age for employment is 14 years old. A 14-year old that is a full-time student would be allowed to work in a retail establishment as long as the employer has obtained certifications from the Department of Labor. A business could be fined $10,000 for hiring someone under the age of 14. The age requirements for agricultural employment are slightly different. With that said check the link below for summer job. babysiting and yard work are your best bet untill you turn 14 good luck in your job search.

Being the youngest is not easy but having more money isn't going to help it. How about if you do the same thing to the others and when they get mad and all hell breaks loose, demand a family meeting where you and your parents can set down some rules?

how about babysitting??? or helping mothers around the house with household chores, or cleaning...helping with laundry...working moms would like the help...and be glad to pay you...you can do yardwork...raking leaves...pulling weeds....running some errands for busy moms....there are alot of ways to make money at 13 years old....because that is just what I did, when I was 13.

honey i know how you feel but getting a job is not going to solve your problems.because you have to quit school and if you want to do something in your life later on, you cant' have it because you don't have an education because you quit school at the age of 13 .so you just have to live with it and except it. but be happy of what you have because someone out there has nothing.
