You should send a short thank you the next day. Thank the interviewer for their time and consideration and that you look forward to speaking with them again.

wait until the next day. if you send it the very same day, that seems over anxious. if you wait more than a few days, then it seems more like an after thought.

I wouldn't send one. I never have, but I have always thanked the interviewer for his/her time at the end of the interview

you do no longer could do it in spite of the undeniable fact that it is staggering. i could deliver basically an digital mail without postpone because of the fact it replaced into basically a telephone call. you desire to maintain you of their minds yet you do no longer desire to harass them. i could wait 2 days. Then in the event that they call you for a head to head interview, deliver them a mailed letter some days after the interview.

Write it the same day, while the interview is still fresh in your mind.

If you really want to stand out, screw the e-mail. Send a handwritten thank-you, within 24 hours, on a really conservative-but-nice thank you note.

It depends entirely on the type of job it is. If it is a job at Mcdonalds, don't bother. But if its a professional job, the sooner the better. So the same day.
