Anwar Sadat, President of Egypt, was assassinated that day in 1981. And he was assassinated by extremists of his own faith, which is still being done today. The extremists don't want peace, all they want is to keep anarchy going, and not just in that region. They are now trying to spread it all over the world.

Plus, the sun both rose and set. A year for the event would be useful if you are not referring to the assassination of Sadat.
