This question sounds very complicated and you are hiding much about the situation... If you are hesitant it is your inner voice warning you- Take it slow until you are more comfortable... slow is romantic for in a relationship we all look back to the dating times before we were serious to reminiese and bask in the glow of our new love... SLOW is the way to go

remember if it takes less than an hour it's not worth it anyway! haha

Good luck

Face your fears and keep trying. Look for others of your persuasion in other places beside bars. In our area, gays hang out in coffee shops, new age stores, natural food stores and local artist venues/galleries. Try the Unitarian Church. They are very open to all people. Keep trying to find someone to treat you you as you deserve. You have to protect your heart and harden it enough to give you confidence and trust, yet keep it soft enough to begin a new relationship. This is always the difficult part. Life is full of these challenges. But trying to become a "stud" if you are not one is a falsehood that could begin a whole new set of problems. Good luck.

Hi. As my "friend" Carol would say, intrinsically appreciating yourself is essential for healthy relationships. I'm pretty sure that won't take forever, and for some reason don't believe you'd actually enjoy being a non-emotional 'stud' :). Haha- in the mean time, there's always the non-romance friend fvck buddy alternative....

Move on. :) But take it slow. Very slow. That way you can protect your heart in the process.
