It means your parents must be informed by the doctor that you are getting an abortion. I think that law is great. All parents of baby killers should know what their kids are doing.

This is true ... the parents must "TALK" to the doctor before the procedure, not by a phone call, not by mail, and .. no not with a written note. Been there, done that. Believe me, you don't wanna notify the parents, i know i had so much trouble in court when i was still 18 because of a same problem. Try to find a doctor you trust, a friend maybe, this shouldn't be my advice for you but try the "illegal ways" if you find that it's your last resort.

You need to get permission from the parents, which probably have to be there in person. Which brings me to another answer about the illegal crap. A person can die, bleed to death or will never be able to have a child, if the illegal idiot who performs the abortion bungles it up. Therefore I only advise the hard way to get the parents involved, and at the same time let this be a lesson to you and the girl to bloody use protection, preferable pills and condoms together. I don't want to lecture you, but you should have thought about this before you put your pecker where it doesn't belong.

Actually in some states no. I live in indiana and my 15 year old cousin had an abortion back in april, and it is completly confidential, and all she needed was the money. When she went she used only the initial of her first name and then only the speeling of her last name. this purpose was so that no one could find the information by looking under her full name. I know this for a fact because i went with her when she had her abortion done. i thaught it was pathetic for them to let a girl so youg get a serious medical procedure such as this one done, with no parental consent at all.

exactly what it states... the parents of a minor seeking an abortion will be notified in advance of the abortion from the clinic in which she's seeking the abortion. Heck, if my teenager can't take a stupid aspirin for a headache at school without my express permission and notificiation... why should she be allowed to kill a baby without my knowledge?

it means that you as the parent must be aware of what is going on with your child before they can do the abortion on her and really it means to be there in person things you might know and she don't or emergence because anyone can call or write a note

i'm no longer from Nevada yet i visit guess that she will be in a position to, because your lady friend isn't a legal individual. it quite is a intense buisness. also, her mom will more suitable than likely be a lot happier in case you in simple terms tell her than if she unearths out about this ordeal later, because (no longer from journey) dealing with an abortion brings various thoughts and frequently melancholy.

I don't know... like two states have this now... everyone just goes to another state.
It does NOT state that you must have your parents permission - only that they must be notified. The choice is still yours.

In Texas, the legal guardian must give consent, as those under 17 pretty much have no rights. Went through it with my sister, her baby would have died if she had it.
