I have a 1987 Honda Civic Wagovan. Right now it idles at about 2100 rpm. How high should it be?

I,M NOT A HONDA MAN BUT MOST CARS IDLE BETWEEN 900 AND 1100 RPM THE IDLE SHOULD BE SET SOMEWHERE IN THIS RANGE THE CAR SHOULD IDLE JUST FAST ENOUGH SO THAT WHEN YOU TURN ON THE AC COMPRESSOR THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE RPM

i think your timing is pretty high. Ask your mechanic to set the engine timing at the lower rate. For a normal car the idle timing is around 1000rpm

it should idle at about 750 rpm.
