im 24,weve been trying for a second child for over a year.i recently found out i only have one egg producing ovary which happens to have a collapsed cyst.my mother suggested i ask for clomid or something to ensure that i produce eggs but i think i might be too young? also do i have to have a prescription for fertility drugs?

Im 21 and im on fertility drugs. So no your not too young. and yes you have to have a prescription.

I am also 24 going to a Fertility Specialist next week. My Gyno said I was too young and had plenty of time. 4 yrs. ttc too long. I have been on clomid. did not work for me, I had 6 cycles of it plus metformin. Yes you do need a prescription for these types of fertility medications. If you dont wanna go to the doc you can always try herbal blends.

You already have one child, so are apparently fertile. My understanding is that, with fertility drugs, your chances of a multiple birth are much greater. Are you prepared for that? Obviously, this is a personal decision between you and your mate, but I think I'd give it a bit more time. Have you asked the doctor's opinion?

you should just go to the doctor...they will be able to tell you what you can have and all that stuff....godd luck!
