Eat lightly. Large meals require a lot of energy to digest, and energy is at a premium when you're sick! When you are ill, it is ideal that you consume only healthy, UNPROCESSED foods. Forget the chicken soup with hydrogenated oils and too much sodium! (unless it's an organic or home-made version!) The very best thing to eat is fruit- especially oranges. Oranges not only contain a lot of vitamin C, but the white stuff that stays on the orange after you peel it has some powerful anti-oxidants. Remember that when we're sick, it's a sign of imbalance within the body, and/or a lack of nutrients that has left the body vulnerable. By restoring balance with wholesome, natural foods you will recover faster. "Let thy food be thy medicine!"

I would recommend avoiding Dairy, sugar, caffeine, and hydrogentated oils (trans fats).

Always "chicken soup". The more costly, the better. If it's homemade, that's even better.
Avoid all dairy products, that will clog up your
system. Take lots of vitamin C (1000-1500 mg)and some B-complex, also. Take aspirin to reduce the fever. Lots of bed rest and drink lots of water. Good luck!

If its just the fever and you have no other complications like tummy upsets or cold and cough, you can eat anything. Fever with cold and caugh, chicken noodle soup is the best and keep away from cold milk.

Its good that you are having an appetitite - when u eat that makes your recovery faster. Eat and drink warm.

Soups are good at anytime for almost anything because its nutrious, easily digestable and can be taken warm.

Drink a lot of water, stay away from greasy and fried food, also stay away from food that causes inflammationn including sugar, red meat. Some of the best anti-inflammatory foods are whole apple, oats, beans. Chicken soup does not help when you have fever, it does not cleanse your system. You should have fresh fruit juice instead.

Stay away from greasy foods. Because can make you vomit when sick. Go for soup or a chicken broth and unsalted crackers. Keep fluids in you too. Drink plenty of water and drink Green Tea with lemon and or Orange Juice. Hope you feel better.

Chicken anything. soup, stew. Lots of water or ginger ale. Stay away from dairy if you have a cold. If your too sick to really cook then I would open a can of chicken soup and toast or crackers. Sure hope your feeling better soon.

Stay away from greasy foods, a good meal that will probably set easy on your stomach is chicken broth with rice, crackers and some clear soda like 7up or ginger ale.

Whenever I'm stuck home with the flu, I always make myself some soups like chicken or noodle and add extra cayenne pepper in it. You won't believe how good it opens up your nasals and soothes your throat. Try it!

When I am feeling like that, homemade chicken noodle soup tastes very good and it makes me feel better. Sometimes I will have an egg on toast.
