I mean seriously. I know we all have different tastes in music, but some people hate a band or style of music without even LISTENING to it. Anyway, just another random opinion question from me...Any opinions? =P

I agree w/ you, many people say they hate hip hop and rap, but think everyone should respect peoples taste in music. Me personally like different bands and artist from different genres.

There is no such thing as bad music!
I grew up listening to rap, but through my adolescence, played drums in a metal band. I have also been influenced by some of the bands my father loves and they have become some of myfavorites and now. As I'm in my mid twenties, I love them all the same.
Music invokes emotion, as all meaningful songs are derived from such.
There's a lot of stuff out there that I don't care for, but I would never discredit an artist and say that what they felt was music is bad.
It's all relative.
Good music provides an escape from our every day life. It makes us feel strong, sometimes sappy or even angry. The more important point is that good music makes you "feel" and whether it's Bob Marley or Killswitch Engage, you shouldn't diss the way music makes someone feel.

The do it to get a rise out of you. If you ignore it and change the subject they will have no power. Besides who cares if they diss your favorite band! It's just their opinion! You dont have to agree with it or be insulted by it.

I listen to that band and get to know a little about them (not too much since I wouldn't be there fan). If they suck, they suck for me. Besides, opinions are opinions. But facts are facts, which I prefer to use.

i kno i hate stereotypes. some people just don't even consider that music is an opinionated subject, they think it's a right or wrong, in or out thing. i love rock, and hate some other stuff, but if they like the stuff i hate, they're not an idiot to me.

I genuinly think that most bands suck, and I'm not afraid to let you know. The majority of bands lack creativity and talent.
