Assume number n is the biggest number.
But n+1 > n, contradiction.
Thus the biggest number does not exist.

there is no biggest number, but a googolplex is the largest number with a name. it's 10 to the googol power. (a goool is 10 to the hundreths power) so a googolplex is 10^(10^100). they say that if you wrote that number down in the computer the txt. file would take up about 40 gigs, or something like that

in a scientific calculator, the biggest number is 9.999999999999*10^99
this is the number according to me must be the biggest that I've come across....
if there is anything bigger than this, i've got no clue.

The biggest finite number that is so far defined is Graham's Number. You can find some information in the link below. This is much larger than googleplex( which is 10^(10^100)) or one followed by 10^100 zeroes- this is googleplex)

well infinity really isn't a number it's an idea of an ever expanding number. so a google i do believe is the largest number with a word associated with it a google is a 1 with 100 zeros after it

To find the smallest number replace X+1 with X/2
