I have been cramping for the last 3 or 4 days with bleeding, the pain is in my back and abdomen and the bleeding is now heavy. How long will the pain last and when should I call the doctor?

I am so sorry for your loss..
Your physical recovery will take 1 to 2 weeks.
You may have some spotting and discomfort for a few days.
If you were pregnant for more than 13 weeks before the miscarriage, you may still look pregnant and your breasts may still leak milk.
Low-impact exercises, such as walking or swimming, will not hurt you. Gradually exercise more as you feel better.
Usually your doctor will see you in a couple of weeks to check your recovery.
You should call you doctor if any of the following happens-
heavy bleeding
fever
chills
severe abdominal pain.
This can be a hard time in your life and the emotional rollercoster can be difficult..God Bless you honey!

I would say that the pain will last a day or so, until the baby passes. Then after that you will be sad for a lifetime, you won't cry everyday, but when the due date passes, you will think, WOW my baby would be 1 year old, 2 years old, 3 years old, 4 years old, 5 years old ect. Mine would be 5 now, but she died, I miscarried 6 years ago in November. She would be 6 next June. Her name is June Angel. I do not know how far along you are or how you are dealing emotionally, but if you wanna talk, I will listen. Good Luck and I am sorry to hear this. Oh, by the way, if the bleeding is really heavy, I would go to the ER just to be sure that you do not lose too much blood. Good luck again.

Call your doctor immediately! The pain lasts different for everyone, depends on how far along you were and what the complication is. Just like how a birth is different for different women, length and amount of pain. I had a miscarriage in the first trimester and my pain was only for about 10 hours, through the night, but excruciating. For me, it was the same as the pain of giving birth. Don't leave it any longer - call your doctor right away!

You need to go to the hospital now. My sister in law miscarried in March and it was bad. I miscarried and almost died. You could be hymerging and need to be checked. The pain never ends emotionally. Mine was 9 years ago. I will pray for you.

cramping and such for a couple days, like a really bad period and maybe a bit longer! The emotional pain, a few months, and even then when you see friends pregnant and such, it will hit you again!
Good Luck!
