Why are so many people asking if we think they are pregnant? Why don't they just go take a pregnancy test? Or why don't they just go to the doctor and get tested?

Because many people seem to think that anonymous strangers on the internet have paranormal powers that are better able to detect pregnancy than your standard over-the-counter EPT test.

because it is friday evening do you know of many open drs offices right now? i dont another thing where i am from it can sometimes take weeks to get in to an obgyns office so the uncertainty is very worrisome this site is for people to give others advice on many different subjects so do not worry about others personal situations pull ur own sox up and be nice why did you waste ur time asking a question like this one when you are complaining about others questions? have a wonderful weekend!!! god bless

It's because they're hoping someone out there has had a similiar experience. I've been pregnant twice and each time was different. Sometimes it's too early to take a test.

That's a good question and I also asked the same question sometime ago but I came to the conclusion that some people live in a state of DENIAL no matter what how much unprotected sex they have had, no matter how many periods they have missed (if they have missed any),how many test came back positive or negative, and especially no mater how we answer back to them they still asks the same questions over and over again and it's like if you are having UNPROTECTED SEX AT ANY TIME,DAY,NIGHT,WEEK,MONTH,YEAR,HOUR,SECOND,OR HOLIDAY THEN YES IT'S A STRONG POSSIBILITY YOU COULD BE PREGNANT.

I know i get mad when they ask that all the time take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor gosh!

I was thinking the same thing but you beat me to it. I don't understand if people think they even might be pregnant why not buy a test you can buy them at the dollar store for a couple of dollars. That's where I got mine and it was correct I'm 30wks today.

People are embarrassed or not experienced enough. What would you do if it were your first time pregnant? You'd be confused, perhaps even a little embarrassed, and feel better asking anonymously to people who can't see nor hear you. However, it's better to overcome the immaturity and do what you suggested.

They just want some sense of hope...
I dont think its a bad thing...The ones who are always asking the same question-that gets annoying but other than that Im okay with it..
Some women who are TTC are just wanting positive feedback...

Sometimes it's just too early for that, and they want to talk to people with experience. I can totally relate to how they feel. There are lots of questions on Yahoo that are more dumb than that. LOL. :)
