My webcam worked perfectly until i hooked it back up today, had unplugged it to run 2 printers to do wedding invitations, now my cam is all black. Any ideas? I have uninstalled and reinstalled, still all black.

Each webcam has image settings. Once u connect the webcam it will show an icon in your system tray which will have "settings" or something like that in its menu (right clicking on that icon will bring up this menu).

Once you are in that menu, look for "System Default" or "Default Settings" and the camera will revert to old settings.

Another possiblity (though vague) is some cameras have a "cover". It happened with my friend and all she had to do was remove the cover and Presto! the camera was working.

Give me your make and model number let me see how I can help.

Few questions. Is your computer detecting the camera? Do you see the Camera under the "Devices" list?
