I hope she is under the care of a good doctor.
A good homeopathic physician can help her prevent future events like this.
Homeopathy will help the body heal naturally, and will take time.
Right now she needs good emergency care.

If she was diagnosed with kidney stones, she must be under a doctors care. Anything, if let go too long, can become life threatening, but usually things like this can be resolved fairly easily. I had kidney stones and double kidney infections, caused by the E. coli bacteria. I had to stay in the hospital for a week, but only because I needed higher than normal doses of antibiotics that aren't in pill form (not to mention pain meds). Your sister will be just fine. People go around for years with kidney stones and no real problem.

On a side note: It's said that after a person has had kidney stones once, they usually get them again every 2-3 yrs. I have experienced that myself. Just have her do research on what causes them so she can find out what foods to avoid, and what she can take to help prevent them again.

It can be, depending on the kind of infection. She should get a good urologist and make sure it gets dealt with. My sister had kidney stones repeatedly and utis (urinary tract infections) and pain, was in and out of the hospital several times, twice on an emergency basis.

The urologist finally found that her kidney was not where it was supposed to be, and the twists and turns of her urinary vessels caused a cyst, a cavity, where the stones formed. He finally operated on her, literally moved her kidney where it should have been, cleaned out the cyst and closed it off, and she has not had a problem since. (It did not help that my sister was seriously overweight, but the urologist should have been more thorough.)

No it is not life threating, urninary tract infections are common with kidney stones because as the stone move through the urinary tract it can cause irritation. I have had kidney stones and & a UTI. She will be fine, but belive her when she says she hurt because what she is going through hurts more than labor.

Very painful, but not usually life threatening. They will allow hwr to pass the stones by herself or they may do a lithotripsy if she has large stones. Probably an antibiotic for the infection. Tylenol and or motrin for the fever. Is she in the hospital or did she go to the family dr?

Yes. The infection can lead to sepsis and multi organ failure; The kidney stones and UTI can lead to kidney failure to heart failure and electrolyte imbalance and death. These are worst case scenarios. How big are the stones? How old is she?Any other co-morbidities?
