It may be easy to simply call them by their names. I know it is a little unconventional, but so is the whole situation. If she is worried about what people will think.....well, some will be excepting of the situation, and some will not, no matter what she calls them.

People should consider that whether they agree with the lifestyle of these two men, or not, they are two people doing a very selfless thing by taking in a child not their own and offering her love and security. Not many people are so willing to open their homes and hearts. This speaks volumes about character.

Hey, that's great! I hope they are really good for her and visa versa. Way back when I was 14, I'd have stuck with their names until something just happened to develop into a couple of parent type names - ya know, whatever came naturally based on personality and experience. As far as referring to them for the rest of the world, lots of stuff works - parents, dads, fathers, etc.

How about Dad and Pops? Father and Old man? Papa and Dada? Or she could just call them by their names with one of the above titles in front.

i think if anybody asks what they are to her she should just say that those are her dads and to call them by their names until she feels comfortably calling them by one name they agree on

When two men adopt a child, they need to change their names to Karl and Victor. They can decide among themselves who will be Karl and who will be Victor.

anyway maybe you could just let her choose on her own when it comes to her she'll know wether its right or wrong to her...i chose what to call my grandmother and grandfather without anyone telling me what to call them it just came naturally...so maybe the same will work for her
