Tonight in south London i was punched in the head at a bus stop randomly and unprevoked by some teenager that was high on drugs. Police response was you may get called by a local station sometime! Anyone had anything similar? Is all on CCTV what else can I do?

If that happened here in S. CA. USA, you would immediately be able to call the police and the attacker would be arrested, unless the victim said no.

So sorry to hear of yr experience tonight i do hope that u will be feeling better soon. Well i would love to say that yours is unusual and a 1 off, but unfortunately it isn't. These kids know that nothing will get done so they carry on doing it. Yes, things shld be on cctv but the way the police will look at it is that 'u only got a punch' so not worth looking at it etc. U cld try yr local papers, mp. The police shld do everything possible to catch yr attacker, without stronger police intervention, the streets r just getting worse. I come from South London originally and i remember as a child i used to be able to go anywhere safely........oh i sound like a right oap now....lol Seriously tho honey i do wish u well and hope that u get over yr ordeal.

That is horrible, I hope your alright and haven't been hurt badly, I would go marching into the nearest police station and demand they do something about it, its on CCTV and as its there for crime cutting then they have a duty to help you, if they still refuse then go get yourself one of those free half hour consultations with a solicitor and see if they can give you any help, I can't believe you haven't had visit from the police or that they are even bothered if your alright, take care and good luck.

Learn some kind of martial art because you are lucky the plods did not arrest you f**ing did when I got a hammering got to get your own justice in this world unfortunately

Sorry about your incident , the girl I used to work with told me a similar incident when a woman was just about to get on the bus when one youth did a flying kick to her back because she stopped them getting in front of her in the que.
Its getting to a point when we need guys like the Krays in our neibourhoods,yes they were criminals but they dealt with muggers .and asbos .
