Albert Pujols or Ryan Howard. It's a toss up. Regardless of the success of the Cardinals I think Howard had an extremely incredible season. 58 home runs without a power line up. That's a lot of home runs and RBI's for a guy who gets pitched around a lot.

I'm going with Albert Pujols. He's the most consistent all-around, and strikes out an unusually low amount of times for a power hitter. A case could be made for Ryan Howard, but his team didn't make the playoffs... otherwise I'd be supporting Jermaine Dye for AL MVP.

Wow...
Ryan Howard hit some homers Merry Christmas, his team isnt in the playoffs!!! He doesnt play defense, cant run, strikes out WAY too much!
Albert Pujols.... he is a candidate, but he isnt playing a franchise position, no defense once again and cant steal bases!
Carlos Beltran is the best choice! look at his numbers!
He can do everything... even catches the ball to save games! ( pujols and howard dont know about this yet..) Plus pujols won it last year so give it to someone else haha

Pujols. His team went to the playoffs...like it or lump it, this counts for a lot with the voters.
Of the four NL playoff teams, take Pujols out of the lineup and the Cards suffer more than any other team losing their best player.

Howard, watch him play and you will know why. A players team doesnt have to be in the playoffs for him to be MVP ask Bonds about that. Not howards fault the pitching in Philly sucks.

As a guy from Missouri. Howard winning it is just as good as Pujols winning it. Howard went a STL School. Pujols is STL's hero right now, along with Marshall Faulk.

Its between PUjols and HOward.
and since pujols carried his team into the playoffs, he'll get it.
even though howard has hit the most home runs without taking steroids.
