I just bought one of these recently, because I'm breaking my mare to pull a carriage. I guess the bit originated in Liverpool, England...

its that metal thing that's round but really its square and it goes at the top of the bottom of the thing that looks flat and yet its round on the edge only and when they paint it black its red when it dries out ready to send off for export and made like you said in L/Pool like only the scouser can do
