Is there any way rain water can leak into the car, other than a window being left slightly open or something? It rained just yesterday, and today i notice the carpet of the drivers side is soaking. I was pretty sure the windows were all up, and it was weird because it was only the drivers side, and the surrounding carpet was dry. the seat, sides etc were all dry. Is there any other way for water to seep in?

i own a repair shop,And i t is possible for water to come in through one if the vents on it,,sometimes they get stopped up,and it will cause it to fill the floor board up with water, you can take a air hose and blow them out from outside of the car,and this will help clear them out, mine has done it before to,also if you have a sunroof in it make sure the drain is clean on It they will leak also, but id say from what you said the side drains are stopped up,with either old leaves or crap from the trees, good luck with it i hope this help,s.

If the water is coming down and just directly pooling in one spot. it sounds like the very top of the windshield has a leak and some of the sealant has gone from around the glass. Cause if it is only wetting the carpet in one spot it has to come from some where.
Best thing to do is get someone to spray a water hose on top of the car while your inside and if it is coming from the top you will find out. An extreme test would be to go through a car wash but I would do so with alot of caution and some towels if you think the leak is really bad. If you want to find out where it is coming from your going to have to recreate the situation and try to observe it as it happens. Hope this works for you good luck.

I had the same thing happen with my 2000 Grand Prix GTP but on the passenger side. What the problem was the factory did'nt seal the bottom of the windshield properly and it would leak when it rained hard. Have an autoglass shop check this. I have also seen the same thing at my buddies shop with a Grand Am that had a rust hole under the hood behind the strut tower. Just a couple ideas. Hope it helps.

yea its wierd but a cracked seal on the door can make that much water seep in also check the fluid level in the radiator overflow if its a leak in the heater core or the hoses then the level wil be down test the door seals by closeing the window and hoseing the the frame then look form the drip or the puddle then buy a new seal at the junk yard or use a silicon sealer then let the door leave it open over night

It sounds crazy, but do a taste test. Put your finger on the fluid, taste and spit out. I know you said left front drivers floor, but fluids and air take the path of least resistance. Antifreeze and brake fluid have a bitter taste. Could even be the A/C overflow drain pan hose being pluged. Other wise, try the car wash with you and a helper inside the car as you are "pulled" through while looking for the incoming leak.

Had this problem recently on a customers VW Jetta. Turns out that the grommet for the antenna cable had worked out of the driver's doorpost under the hood. Check your window seals and any firewall penetrations.

could come from your windshield or the door may not be adjusted right or sagging.
