Just wondering...?

Question

I know they are old wives tales but I was wondering if anyone actually had some that came out correct and what were they, you know like certain cravings for boys and girls, or they way you carry, or growing more hair means your having a boy, or even the thing about heartbeats telling the sex of baby.

I am a mother of three and we tried all the old gimmicks to try to find out the sex of our babies... none worked. Each pregnancy was different. However, the ultrasounds were even wrong!!! My first was suppose to be a girl, all girl things even the nursery and, and yet I had a boy. My middle child was unsure on the ultrasound but probably a girl, wrong again. Then my baby they thought she was a boy. I kept saying I know I am having a girl. I didn't gain as much weight, I had a small basket ball belly, and finally when I began to see a preg. specialist he did another ultrasound and there was no doubt I had a girl. With my boys I got very big all over, with my girl very small.

A lot of hearburn is supposed to mean the baby will come out with lots of hair and that was true with my first one. I did not have so much heartburn on the second and he was bald.

Also they say carrying low is a boy. I don't know if that is true.

The heartbeats are true because the doctor will tell you that. Usually a boy has a bit faster of a heartbeat. It is not always an accurate thing, but is a generalization.

I had a girl:
Well I mainly craved sweets and I carried her low the whole time and her heartbeat was always above 150 (faster means girl). I didn't have really any heartburn and she came out with a head full of hair. And I used chinese gender and it told me she would be a girl.

Well I'm not sure if this is true, but I have always heard that if you are having a boy, you carry low, and when if you are having a girl, you carry low. When i was pregnant with my daughter over two years ago, I carried very high. Now I am pregnant with a boy and I'm carrying very low. I've heard this from numerous people. And it seems to have worked that way for everyone I've talked to including my mom and grandmother. But it could very well just be a coincidence.

to be honest i was pregnant 4 times the first 3 i craved meat (i was a vegetarian) and the craving was extremely strong and all three times i had girls
but my last pregnancy just the smell of meat would make me sick to my stomach.
now as to their being any truth's about all the old wives tales i just think it depends on the individual person and pregnancy.
don't believe what anyone tells you your having until you get a ultrasound from a doctor....and that is only right half the time...lol

You know, sometimes those things work out and sometimes not. I carried low and had a boy but if you REALLY want to know, just google "chinese gender chart," I swear its over 90% accurrate. It has predicted the sex of practically everyone we've tried it out on. weird but it goes by your age when you conceive and the month you got pregnant. It works!!

I've heard heartburn means a boy.
Also, the Chinese chart is good for gender. It worked for a friend of mine.

well I've heard that if its a boy his heart rate is slower than girls. for instants my sons heart rate was 120 beats per min. and my girls was 150 a min. so in my case it was true and in one of my friends case it was true too!
