My doctor ran a urine test for pregnancy and it was negitive, but this was before I was due for my period. I started it, but it's not normal. It's just blood, no discharge like I usually have, and it's only been three days and it's stopping. Could this be spotting and I am pragnant? My doctor hasn't returned my calls and I'm wondering.

I'm 23 and on BCP. I was treated for a UTI with Bactrim (an antibiotic). My husband and I were told not to worry, that it shouldn't affect the BCP. Not like it really matters to us. But I need to know because I don't want to stat taking a new pack of BCP if I am.

Ok there are a some questions you need to be asking yourself:
1. How long before that urine test did you have unprotected sex
2. Have you had a period like that before... the no discharge thing

What I believe you should do is show up at your doctor's office and ask for bloodwork to be done. Tell them that you have reason to believe that you could really be pregnant and do not want to take another urine test. Believe it or not the only for sure way to detect a pregnancy is through a blood test because if its too soon the urine test will miss the hormones in your urine.

About your strange period... that could be caused by stress, change in your diet, heavy lifting things like that. You know women's bodies are very sensitive and just about anything can cause our periods to change.

That is what I think you should do, I hope I have been some help. Take care

It is unlikey since periods are not always the same, you will not always have discharge with it, and they can last only three days. The normal time for a period is 3 to 7, not just 7. Plus if it started at it's regular time, it's even more likely that you are not.

If you are having any symptoms though, then go to Walmart and get a test. They are not always accurate though b/c every woman I've known has had them say negative when they were pregnant.

The best thing to do would be to go to your local health clinic and ask to be tested for pregnancy and get put on birth control. They will do all this for free. That way you will know for sure and you won't have this problem again.

Besides, how old are you? If you are under 18, PLEASE be more careful. You do not need to wind up pregnant, it's too much of a risk for you and a child. Get on birth control and use condoms.

Either way, good luck.

depending on how young you are, you may not be pregnant, but just experiencing your body adjusting to getting used to being an adult. On the other hand, you may be experiencing a lot of anxiety, so your period may be delayed from that. If your doctor won't talk to you, go to a Planned Parenthood clinic and get a pregnancy test. In the meantime, keep your pants on - or use a condom with your partner.

Is your puppy spayed? Was your puppy in season? If she is not spayed & you do not know if she used to be in warmth. She used to be walking with a male for per week & you noticed them mate. Yes, she probably is pregnant. Spay NOW.
