i suggest you consult a nutritionist, and look into your child's EFA and DHA levels, i am sure that his eating habits are not the greatest ... many many people spend hours and thousands on the teeth starting out even as youths with braces... but NO ONE spends as much time worried about there colon, and what comes out... get him checked out ... get him cleaned out it will do wonders!

Have you researched the different services that are available in your area? This is not uncommon for children with such disabilities. They often start puberty earlier than their peers. They also have differing sensory needs compared to their peers.

It could be that he is overstimulated, and needs tools to help him cope with the feelings that he is having. Experiment to find what tools will work for him. Common tools are biting sticks, kush balls, quiet corners with their own bean bag chair when they feel the need to be alone, etc.

You need to get him to a therapist, or counselor, and mental retardation, does need medication. now if you feel that the treatment he has been getting is not helping, then you need to go and get a second opinion. Work with the people who are professional, in their field.
