I know money is not all that important, but which would you rather have, someone who makes say $100,000 a year and is not that great of a person or someone who makes $10,000 a year but is the greatest person you have ever met?

there is no love if u can't afford toilet paper, so i feel where ur comin' from... but its no contest, money comes & goes but if u have someone solid, trustworthy, loyal, kind, good in all areas of hte house & is compatible to you, then even if it means living on the street, you should fight to keep her

10,000 a year but is the greatest person you have ever met. WHY? Because you have to find a person who is going to complete you money is not everything. If somethings happens and that person can not make that 100,000 a year then what r u going to move on to someone who can. The same way they make all that money one day the next day it can all be taken away just like that. You want someone who is going to make you happy and fun to be around with that special connection. Long as you stand by that persons side and motivate them in whatever their goals are one day they can make that same 100,000 as well but guess what they will have the money and be a great person all in one.

The one who makes only 10,000 a year. Money doesn't buy happiness so why even try it. I would rather be with someone who is the greatest person and poor then be with someone who makes a lot of money and not a good person to be around. That would make for a miserable life.

Well my fiance is someone who makes 100K/yr and is the greatest person I have ever met I love him with all my heart! When we first started to get serious I still didn't know how much money he made or how important his job really was. I just happen to get lucky!! But don't get me wrong we have been through ups and downs and I have always been by his side and supported him through all his misfortunes and bad decisions! He's had drug and alcohol problems and I was still there always staying optimistic when no one else was! I make a substantial amount of money each year but it is definite that he makes way more than I do! That fact doesn't intimidate me and he has never made me feel inferior because of it!!!!!

I would want the greatest person in the world. What if you were with the one that made more money and something happened to that person and they could no longer work, then you are stuck with a so so person and no money! Besides, if you are with someone for the money, then you are with them for the wrong reason.

Part of the picture behind how much money a person makes is how ambitious he is. That may play a part in deciding, but if most everything about him is great....money can always be made easier than changing a person.

if he were the greatest person i've met; I would entertain the thought marrying him. However, we would have to talk about why his income is only $10,000 a year. Of course, if he is a great person, he would want to earn more if possible.
then we could be married and have babies and buy the house with the white picket fence. lol

I have married that person. And he was in debt. I made it clear that he needed to pay everything off before we got married. To do that he got a better more paying job. 7 years later. He is not working, he is my stay at home daddy, no income and I still love him.

If money is so important, work hard for it and don't find anyone to give that to you. Marry for love
