My landlord is a slum landlord and a half, and we are finally leaving our apartment. I have given my notice, and I was wondering what the interest rate was on my security deposit in Minnesota, and when can I be expecting my security deposit back?

Im in Wisconsin and we dont get interest on our security deposits but the landlord has to have it back w/in 90 days unless there is a dispute. I have no idea about MN but you could search online.

I have gotten security deposits back in 3 different states. I have never gotten any interest on the money. 30-90 days is the usual to get the deposit refund.

in many situations if the development is proprietor occupied---their is not any requirement to pay interest on protection....have you ever been getting each and every year financial employer receipts ? if so -you may properly be gaining 2% or much less observing the account sort. you may ask your Landlord approximately utilising your protection for the suitable month------i could get the final months lease---and could write a verify for the protection minus damages on very final walk with the aid of with the renter....
