Well, scientifically speaking white isn't a color unto itself but the full spectrum of light that humans are capable of seeing, all at once. Just as black is the absence of light.

That said.

I don't particularly like or dislike white, though I don't look good wearing it, due to my skin tone.

I mostly think of bareness when I see white - things look too empty or uninteresting to me when they are just white, most of the time.

In Western culture white has predominantly come to mean virginity, innocence, and purity. It also has connotations of knowledge and skill because of it's use in coats by doctors and scientists.

In Japanese and other Eastern cultures white is the color for death and mourning.
