Sorry, no. Swans is the plural of swan. A swain is an old-fashioned word for sweetheart or suitor, which is another archaic word. I guess the current phrase is lover. But back in the days when relationships were called, "courting" or "keeping company", swain was the name of the guy who brought you roses and sat on the porch swing with you while your dad kept sneaking looks from the parlor window, and your mom was an unwanted chaperone.

Swan is an acceptable word for a group of swan. Swans is also acceptable.
