Simple, don't make any music....but, of course then you wouldn't be an artist, no seriously though let me tell you something alot of people are call jay-z the greatest rapper alive because all of his albums went platinum when of course they could cause napster, kazaa, limewire, and others didn't exist when he was in his "prime" where as now it does and the only reason artists continuosly put out music is simply to be heard and for the fans, and of course that small population who still believe in buying a quality cd for no more than 20 bucks.......over..and....out

Oooh, tough one. I suppose you could:
1. Never release that/those songs.
But the again, try your best at:
1. Getting a great manager, who won't exploit you you can trust.
2. I sometimes make CDs (like from my little cousin's singing) recorded but make it so it can't be copied or burnt.
3. Take few sites to allow listening (all) of it, partially for all others.

You can sue anyone for pretty much anything now in the U.S.A.

1) Don't release it
or
2) Consider it marketing.

I have bought many albums, after being exposed to artists by way of MP3s.
