You work with her. So be nice to her. That is all you have to do. When she says something to you, politely thank her. There should be nothing to concern you or disturb you. If she were critical of you then you could be disturbed.
It is your choice whether you want to continue the relationship outside of your workplace. The ball is in your court. If you want the relationship to go no further than the workplace then it won't.

Icant believe you ask this question, this lady was being genuine and without question probably in her eyes you are, so why make a mountain of it, or it maybe a term of endearment she uses on a daily basis so why are you disturbed, older people use more endearing terms of phrase to compliment others than we do into days terms.

You should be flattered, it's not a big deal, unless you are gay. What's to be disturbed about. Beautiful is not a bad thing.

Depending on the circumstances, sometimes a compliment is just .... a compliment. Accept it graciously and stop trying to make a big deal out of what is quite possibly nothing but a compliment.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Was you being nice to her, have you been courteous to her? That makes a person beautiful, not so much the looks, but their personality and how they treat people.

well it depends on the situation. first of all how much older is she? is she only a year or two? then she may be flirting. also what were u guys talking about? was it random or was it a joke? but that does sound strange...
