Yes, DirecTV and Tivo no longer have an agreement to integrate Tivo with DirecTV boxes. It's a shame because the three that my parents have now are wonderful. If they ever break, they'll have to get the DVR from DirecTV which I've heard is pretty bad.
However, Comcast Cable has an agreement with Tivo now so their DVRs will soon have Tivo as part of their DVR system. I've heard they're still in testing but should be out some time early next year. I currently have the Comcast DVR (can't get DirecTV where I live) and the interface is pretty poor compared to Tivo. I can't wait for the Comcast/Tivo DVR!

I noticed about last weeks ago something . From Yahoo News did it told about DirecTV will be Diasppear in 2016 . I read them news , Might is Someone Company or Gov't look like private find out ..I don't need them Dish and DirecTV not important . I don't have worry them Profit their own money .. Mine is Good saving the money in the future safe than lost bills . Think about it keep Faiths God Glory alone ..

They lease their own and are vastly inferior to the TiVos
The only thing better is that they save 90 minutes instead of 30 on live play.
