I hate rap,pop, and this pop punk that they have these days!

I can't stand Rap (or Hip Hop), Dance and Country. I am and always will be a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal fan.

I like a lot of kinds of music, but I would have to say I dislike rap and hip/hop the most. I used to listen to it all the time as a teenager, but then it was good, I will still listen to some of the older stuff since I like the beat. But the stuff they have now, you can't understand most of it, and the only words you can understand are curse words or dirty words. All they talk about is sex, drugs, alcohol, and violence. I mean, there are a lot of great things in the world to talk about. Like family and God and life. That is why I like country the best. I used to hate that because it was always talking about cheating and breaking up and alcohol. But lately country has gotten where it talks mostly about family and God and just plain living. I also like a little pop and classic rock though, and I like contemporary christian music. I even like Christian Rap, because it has a nice beat and doesn't talk filth.
I guess basically all I'm trying to say is I hate what rap and hip/hop are like today.
P.S.> Did ya'll know that it was actually a white woman who invented rap...lol....I thought it was funny too, but it's true.

This new breed of rap is the worst.Combine it with the violence in video games,and the vids on you tube depicting police chases and street fighting as cool, and guess where we'll be in about 10 years.
I know I sound old, and I like some of that you tube stuff myself, but the combination is desensitizing the kids these days to just about everything.
Nothing is shocking anymore.Kids only get exposure to current events when a horrifying thing like the amish school shootings occur,and even then it doesn't sink in, because kids don't understand what an amish person is, they don't care that 6 people died because it didn't happen to them,and they proclaim that the kill count would have been higher had they been involved.

It is like they make
a list of their 'naughty' words,
and then write a song around
them that makes as little
sense as possible.

punk
classical (piano/orchestra music)
etc...
PS: I forgot, I like comedy too (Tenacious D, Psycostick, etc...)
