You have to know nothing about basketball to realize that Kobe is not a ball hog, do you people watch any Laker games. If his teammates would hit more shots Kobe could average 8 assists per game, easily. The problem is that they rely so much on Kobe to shoulder the offensive weight that they end up watching him play instead of playing with him. In past years he was guilty of taking bad shots ( which he still does from time to time) but its easy to see how much he has grown as a leader and a player. This year will be the lakers break out season and kobe will lead them to the west finals.
No ONE player can stop Kobe on an average night, let alone when he is in the zone. Not only that, kobe is ont of the best defensive players day in and day out. Lebron, Dwade, or melo, none of these players could shut someone down and still give you 30 points a game. Kobe is hands down the best in the NBA. If you dont like him, its cuz he's better than your favorite player.

When he is on his game I don't know if he can be stopped. The question is does he make the players around him better? That's the mark of a great player.
He is often compared to MJ but to me the biggest difference is MJ was able to elevate the level of play of the players around him. If nothing else, MJ's supporting cast played well just because they feared letting him down. On some level that's true with Kobe as well.

first of all, why can't people talk about kobe,not his past.I don't think he raped any anybody,he cheated on his wife,but thats all.It's old news. Kobe is a great player,he's not MJ,but he can be unstoppable at any time.He has the ability to make other players around him good,but the have to be consistant.Give kobe one or two key role players who are consistant,and look out....Lakers in the finals again!!!!!

Good individual player, terrible teammate.
Only one that stops him is Kobe Bryant. This was evidenced in his final game of last season where he got whiny and just stopped playing to prove a point.

Look I'm not a math genios but the fact is Kobe played with no pure shooters. If he he played with just 1 or 2 shooters his assits wouldbe more like 5.5-6 and no one would complain because it would be Jordanlike.

Kobe is a ball hog. if he wasnt stopped, how many wins did he get last year.... he doesnt get double teamed. he plays more minutes then others, doesnt pass. and is a B I T C H
