No it is the biggest waste of money. I don't see how ANYONE thinks it is scary.
ok it's "artsy" and not "horror"? PLEASE it based itself on being horror and was advertised as being so scary and a horror movie. Oh yeah so scary oh I am in the woods how scary. Come on I have been in the woods it isn't that scary. Then if they knew jack they would have KNOWN to follow the river. Heck everyone knows that, and not just going by boy scouts. It was totally unrealistic. Including how easy they "got lost" in the woods. On top of that they planned to do that filming there but didn't take any cell phones? Come on who would go deep in the woods to film and not take a phone. It was just pathetic. Now if you want to see scary you need to see that program that, I believe it was History Channel or A&E, ran that was the mockumentry of the history of the Blair Witch. Now THAT was scary. It wasn't slasher either but it WAS scary.

Yes it is.
Blair With Project is very original, there's no other movie that was filmed quite like this one...
It may not be the best movie in the world, but it quickly became a classic in its own genre.
--- the 2nd one is somewhat entertaining too, but there's nothing really special to it...so don't bother unless you have nothing better to do ;) ---

I wouldn't say scary. Creepy....not really...dumb...nah. Eerie perhaps. It was done and written in a way that most people don't understand. It's kind of 'artsy' meaning not the run of the mill. If you are expecting a Jason, Freddie, Leather Face or Michael Myer kind of movie...don't see it. You will only be disappointed.

The first one, SEE IT! !
DO not listen to anyone on here, see it. I only own 3 movies:
1. The Blair Witch
2. The Goonies
3. Natural Born Killers
I suggest all three. ;)

The first time you see it is the scariest. Anyone who says its not scary can shut up. Just imagine yourself in the woods like that and tell you wouldn't be scared.

ONE OF THE SCARIEST MOVIES I'VE EVER SEEN! - However, I saw it in the theatre, which I believe totally makes a difference. It may still creep you out, but I do believe it is better in a totally dark theatre on a huge screen. No blood, guts, violence - just the "Oh my God, what is out there?!" kind of scarry - and it is! - I would not go out in the woods for months after I saw it!

I am easily scared by scary movies. If you are looking to watch a scary, horror movie...this is not for you. It was just stupid.
If you are bored and want to count how many times a movie can use the word f*** unnecessarily, have fun.

Nah, not really. It might be slightly scary in a darkened cinema, but watching it at home...a bit ho hum, to be honest.
