Implants, injections, patches...I've just had a baby and plan not to have any more for some years. Your feedback and experiences would be helpful. My husband will not use condoms, and to be honest, I'm not a fan myself (coitus interruptus).

havin the depo injection. i have it every 12 weeks, its a shot on your bum and takes a few seconds.
it tricks your body into thinkin your preg, so you cant get preg again.
i had it for about a yr, but be warned, you will prob put on weight!
when i came off it i lost a stone in a week!
but back on it now coz its so easy! i too hate condoms and i know il forget the pill, so just have this shot once every 12 weeks and your sorted!

edit. just read someone who says that u will bleed every day for blah blah blah.
i wish people wouldnt write about things they clearly dont know about.
you will not bleed, infact in most cases your period will stop coz your body thinks your preg.

hands down winner here is easy-the Mirena IUD. put it in 8 wk after the baby is born and dont worry about for another 5 years. you will have lighter less painful periods and if you are one of the lucky ones, you wont have a period at all. talk to your doctor, most women in stable monogamous relationships are well suited for the iud. dont use the shot-unless you are willing to accept the chance you may bleed every day for months on end and gain 30 pounds. you may have spotting for the first few months on mirena but after that it is smooth sailing. i have had one for a year and i love it much more than the pill. also i am a gynecologist so i see it all

Fertility Awareness Method

It involves tracking your basal body temperature, cervical mucus and cervical position on a daily basis to determine your fertile days you can then either abstain or use barrier methods on your fertile days to avoid pregnancy, it is used as both a highly effective birth control method and a method of pregnancy achievement, it is also good because it tells you exactly what it happening within your body at any one time so can show up fertility or vaginal health problems.

I would highly recommend getting a book called 'Taking Charge Of Your Fertility' by Toni Weschler, it will set you back around £12 from Amazon or can be picked up at most book stores, and it very much worth what you pay for it.

A lot of areas also have Fertility Awareness Method instructors that would be able to help you learn if need be, these are normally within the NHS and most do not charge, but may ask for a donation from yourself. These trainers can be found by doing a search through FertilityUK: http://www.fertilityuk.org

http://www.justisse.ca – Holistic and FAM methods.

There are also electronic methods such as Persona or Ladycomp, both work on the same methods but electronic use means you do not have to put in as much effort to charting – once you learn how it is no more effort than taking the pill every day – Persona can be bought from most Boot's stores.

An implanon inplant they last at least 3 years and are one of the most effective for birth control, they have some that last 5 years, they can be taken out whenever you want and will allow you to conceive again quickly.

I guess the shot. I think u get those like once a year and u dont have to worry about remembering to take any funky pills. I personally take the pill, but there are times I 4get to take them, and this makes me mad because what if I slip up? I dont want anymore kids for a LOOOOONG time either.

Get your husband to have a vasectomy, they can be reversed at a later date. It,s not painful, takes about 20 minnets,no side effects, and 100% safe.

IUD, hands down. You also have depo-provera and the pill but they're hormonal and you may get side effects with them that you won't with the coil.
