The trick is once you get into the 90s you have to count the 9 in 90 every time: 90 91 92...so that will get you 20 once you hit 99.

I would say ten if your counting every nine from 1-100 but if you are saying nine as in just nine then its one it could be a trick question then i couldnt be who knows???

if you mean in terms of digits, then, it's 10

if you mean the actual number nine, then 1
