KISS has always been more than just a "band", from the very beginning they were about the KISS experience. From the costumes and theatrics to the media campaign and just plain old solid songwriting which touched listeners with their guitar driven melodies that tapped into common emotional themes to the youth of the day. One could really enjoy listening to their music but going to a KISS concert was literally a life-altering experience. Far better than four guys just standing there playing music, a KISS concert was always a spectacular sensory overload.
I have been a KISS fan from their very beginning in the early 1970's and remain one to this day.

KISS is a great band but they're not the hottest band in the world. There are better bands out there.

I love KISS. Paul Stanley is probably one of the best frontman ever. And yes, the music hasn't always been the best, but the shows always have been. I cant think of another band who ENTERTAINS as much as KISS does. (And Beth is one of my all time favorites!)

KISS is awesome cause they can sing anything and it sounds so good. My favorite KISS song is Hard Luck Woman.

NO...they suck more than paris hilton at the million man march. their fans all go to bed at 8pm, live in "assisted living" condos, drink Metamucil, take 15 different pills a day and lsd is not one of them, they have a special "walkers" section at their concerts. instead of holding up lighters they hold up their oxygen masks.
