OK, since you are young and have only had one job, I would also include extra-curricular activities, volunteer jobs, community service, etc. You could also include a letter of reference from your previous job or a teacher.
Here is a great site to help guide you in building your resume, Just remember, be honest and sell yourself! And dont forget to have someone proofread it for you!!!!

Go to your local library - they will have access to MS Word and also may have someone who can assist with a resume. Most communities also have programs that help people with job training that would include resume help. You can try the local Employment Division - they will be able to help or point you in the direction of someone who can. You may also try a guidance counselor or teacher at school. If none of that works, go to the library, use the computer and do the best you can. List your work experience - if it is just the one job, detail your responsibilities there. Include any babysitting or other odd jobs teenagers have - mowing yards, newspaper delivery, helping a neighbor with computer work, walking dogs, etc... Be sure to include your educational experience and any volunteer work you've done. It couldn't hurt you to mention recognition you've received at school - awards, etc... Keep it to one page, use the spell check and have a friend, parent, or teacher proof it a couple of times before you send out the real thing. A resume is only half the battle, but it is the first impression, so definitely take it seriously or you'll be tossed aside before you have a chance to wow them in person. When you get an interview or even a phone call, be professional, courteous, and listen carefully to what is said so that you give informed and thoughful answers. Follow up after three-five days once you've submitted a resume. Make the call, be especially courteous to the person answering the phone - they can make or break you, and let HR/Personnel know you submitted a resume and want to follow up to schedule a time to meet and share with the company why you would be a great asset to them.
Best of luck in your search!

Since you are 16, employers will not expect that you had past employment. What they really want to know is how responsible you are for your age. If you have done any babysitting or housitting, you should include that. You can find resume templates on Microsoft Word. When you have "Word" open, click 'file' >new>templates or resume wizard. You can find many fill in the blank templates to use.
In your interview, try to show that you are honest, responsible, and that you would be hard-working if given the opportunity to work there. If you don't miss any days from school, you should explain that you are always punctual and never miss a day or something to that extent. Employers like to hear those things. Most importantly, look nice. Don't wear clothes with holes or wear flip-flops. And no matter what, do not bring a friend, boyfriend, or parent with you to the interview or any interview.

first you have to start with what kind of job are you looking for. Then after that decide if you have skills for that job. I had a lot of jobs in which I didn't put on my resume. If you don't have that much skills to get that "job" you want , then you have to go to school and earn the skills. In the interview, they will ask you if you used the skill that you mention on your resume. If not, then they will eliminate you. Wait until you are 18, go to a community college and get some skills. Look on Craigslist and click on resumes. There is a whole bunch posted there. Good Luck.

Use Microsoft Word's built in resume wizard to help you build it. At 16, a resume would seem pointless in my opinion since you don't have much to build it with. Resumes are filled with information such as what your educational background is and your job history. Usually, how well you interview means more than a resume.

First off dont mess up the spelling if you use the word "please" in a sentence lol as in your topic plaes...Im just kiddn with ya. Punctuation will be my tip. I always mis punch on the keyboard :)
As far as your interview...
Do a fake interview with a friend or family and practice, maintaining eye contact, positive strong voice, dont use words like "Yeah" or Na" say "yes" or "no". If they ask if you have experience in a certain area be honest but say you are eager to learn be yourself and act happy and thank them for the interview.

If you go to your local library they will have free computers to use that have Microsoft Word on them for you to use and you can create your resume. Word has templates that can assist you. Kinko's also has Word, but they charge you to use their computers. There are many books out there to assist you with your resume, you can probably get one from your library. Just be sure to bring a disk with you to save your resume and you can use it to update it anytime you'd like. You can also print at most libraries, but if you can't, create it there and bring it to Kinko's to print. They will charge you to print but it costs about $12/hr to use their computers, so create it somewhere else if you can and print it there if you have to, that will save you money.
On your resume make sure to include your past experience, your school and positive attributes about yourself. Emphasize your strengths. Reesie271 is right! Be sure to include everything they said.

Learn to spell your words correctly. Tell what experience you have or what courses you may be taking at school, that may help.Don't exaggerate any details that you can't back up at an interview if you should get one. Good Luck!
