The guy that played Marcus Aurelis in Gladiator is Richard Harris who also played Dumbeldore in Harry Potter 1 & 2 and died October 25, 2002. While the current Dumbledore is Michael Gambon who was in Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp

I can't think of the actors name, but yes, the gentleman that plays Caesar in Gladiator is also Dumbledore in the famous Harry Potter movie(s). I believe he was in at least the 1st 2 HP movies before being replaced. I heard it was health related reasons as to why he didn't continue to portray the character.

Well, he doesn't actually play *Julius* Caesar, but Richard Harris was both the first Dumbledore (Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets) and Gladiator's Marcus Aurelius. I haven't watched Gladiator closely enough to remember if they called Aurelius "Caesar", a title ("Emporer") that I'll let better Roman scholars than myself argue if the actual man used.
