I/0 Disk Error?

Every time I satart my laptop up (IBM Thinkpad 380XD, windows 2000), after the intro screen, it says "I/0 Disk error, replace the disk and press any key" Thats all it says, no other mumbo jumbo, please help!

there might be something wrong with your 3.5 disk, remove it from your boot priority by going into your bios (usually f-2) at start up. Neen more information does your system boot or does in stop at this point.
