There have been a bazillion different versions of this song recorded - it's very old. I remember Gene Autry's version on an old vinyl album of my mom's (Gene Autry was a singing cowboy star in the 1930s and 40s.) And my dad used to sing it to me when I was very little, and I'm 44 now.
It goes:
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
The other night, dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
But when I woke dear
I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
Maybe check Ebay for old recordings - it shouldn't be too hard to find.
I think it's very sweet that a young person knows this old song well enough to want to put it on MySpace. Good luck!

Many people actually sing the song. It was originally written and recorded by Jimmie Davis (former Louisiana state govenor) 1940

I heard a version of it by Gene Autry that was beautiful.
My aunt used to sing it to me and I love that song.

I think Nat King Cole recorded it - if that's what you meant.
