You're probably thinking of an ancient contraceptive technique proposed by Aristotle back in the day (he was known as Ari back then...)
The theory went that if a woman put her head between her knees after sex and forced herself to sneeze, this ensured she didn't get pregnant. For the love of God please don't use this as your form of contraception or you'll end up with a sore nose and about 100 kids.
As for blowing your nose as opposed to sneezing... never heard about that but I see no reason why you'd need to. I think whoever's told you this is having you on...
