Why don't women leave the seat up when they are finished?
I guess if you can answer that question, you will have the answer to why men don't leave it down.

Typical female logic. Women don't want the ring up but they also don't want the ring "wet". If everyone would put the ring up when they were done, it would never get pee'd on and would stay clean. If you needed to sit, you could put it down, and if you didn't need to sit just leave it up. When you are through, put it back up for the next person to decide. It's really a moot point anyway, 'cause we all know that women don't really sit, they hover. I guess we men could rebel and always put the seat down BEFORE we go. Then they really will have something to b*t*h about.

Because we pee a lot more than we take a dump.
Also, because we have to use the seat in both positions, we're used to putting the seat down *for ourselves*. (What a concept!)
I never understood why women who live with guys have to be all uptight about the damn toilet seat. You've got arms, ladies. Use em!

Men (as with most people) are lazy by nature. Becaue the most common use of the toilet is urination (which requires a raised lid for men), they will leave the lid where it was after they were finished.
I wish they made it more convenient for the females, but they don't. Nor do I suspect they ever will.

Never?
I do.
It depends where I am. If I'm somewhere where women use the toilet I put the seat down.
If I'm in a men's washroom, then I leave it up out of courtesy.

I agree with Starla C. The same reason why women can't put it back up. I pee with good aim although there's still sprinkles that get on the rim. I'm courteous enough to wipe what I left behind though. If you don't like the way your man keeps it, leave him. If anyone thinks they can change someone, they're wrong. People need to like people for who they are. And smile damit because someone is smiling at you.

I don't know...
It's just like some people don't flush the tolit or wash their hands, and that both male and female!
Some people are just nasty, but it is just life, u gotta live with it.
besides it don't take that much to just put the seat down, men do enough 4 us anyways (sometimes) the least we cant do is not complain bout the damn tolit seat, i mean, u just askin for a argument!

You are generalizing. Many men do...including this one.
Conversely, the question could be asked" why do some women NOT put the seat up when they are done?"

HOLD UP!!!! First we got yelled at because we never lift the seat up. Now woman has trained man to do that and now you want it put back down? Can you tell me why everything needs to revolve around you? You can go in halfway on this. Maybe if you lifted the seat up after wou went we would make sure that it was ready for you next time. Sound fair to me.
