I got my ears pierced when i was seven, one got badly infected and the other not so badly. I'm eleven now and want to get them repierced. My parents wants me to go to a mall place, and I have to take care of them myself. There's scar tissue over there, and I'm afraid the gun will get stuck or something. Is that a reasonable concern, and are there any I should be aware of? And, the badly infected ear has healed, but sometimes just the smallest (very very tiny) piece of dry white stuff is there. Is that normal?

First, the gun won't get stuck. However, if the scar tissue is thick, you'll have a little trouble finding earrings long enough to go through it. And it might hurt more this time, if you're piercing through the scar tissue. You can ask them to pierce slightly to one side of it, if it won't make it too off center. The dry white stuff could be from your hair, or just dry skin there. You should be ok, but remember to keep it really clean and follow all the instructions.

get them pierced at a tattoo parlor/piercing salon instead of going to a mall. they are trained to know about situations like yours, and will do the job right and answer all your questions. Plus, tattoo parlors are generally cleaner and more professional than a mall store. i've got several piercings myself and because i go to the pros , i've never had a problem with them!
