I have seen many websites that give instructions but they don't work for me.

you can't make real clay but you can make a modelling compound out of baking soda. I make it for my nieces and nephews, to make Christmas ornaments with.

Dries well but is heavy and leaves your hands feeling scratchy. Recipe for that and other home-made modelling compounds below.

try flour and water and a bit of salt
