Money vs Ideology?

Do you think that international politics today has turned more money-orientated and economic power and away from ideology or not.
Which is more important to you?

In a leader which is better:

a) someone who is more influenced by his/her ideology and doing things for what they believe is right, but doesn't strengthen the economy as much as b)

b) someone who is more influenced by how much money the country can make but with less regard to ideological beliefs, but does strengthen the economy a little more than a) would

Today, Money means power and access. VERY SAD. It is the root of all evil.

Ideology should always come first.

I don't see international politics today as being money-oriented.

I realize there are some detractors who have reduced America's motives for every war to that of making money, but I am not one of them.

I think the thought that politicians are motivated by economics while they sell Americans a line of ideological bull is wrong for two reasons:
1. It gives politicians way too much intellectual credit; and,
2. It doesn't give Americans enough intellectual credit.

when 1 and 2 politics and money (power) overrides 3 and 4 education and religion (ideology)

so you are correct. Power corrupts (greed-money) and dilutes
ideology (equal freedom/liberty in society)

both but the love of money isnt good, but i cant say that its not important.
