I once heard that children have more labels now because medicinal technology has advanced so much. More babies are being born rather than dying prematurely. These babies later have problems as children such as ADHD. I don't know if there's any validity to it, but I could certainly see it being a possibility. There are still doctors who don't believe it's completely neurological, but they're obviously not the ones labeling and medicating children so they're not heard as much on the issue. I did some research online over the summer to see if there was a correlation between poverty and ADHD. It seems that many of the students I've had who have been diagnosed also come from poor families with parents who aren't raising their children in a loving environment.

What? I can't put all those words together and think at the same time!

I think, personally, that every child who was born in a family of substance abuse of any kind, and any level, has ADD. Even before the Y generation. I am living proof! But I have found many ways to overcome these symptoms. One is by keeping a list of things, so I don't forget them. Then, rate them in importance. Most of them are not important though, because I am a procrastinator to the nth degree! But, I'll work on that later. lol

Hello... Listen up
I don't believe in either ADD or ADHD. I believe it's up to the Parents to help their children with what's gong on with them at home and at school. I believe that some Parents and some Teachers are just flat lazy and don't want to bother with any problem that might get in their way, so okay lets medicate the kids so to shut them up. PLEASE !!! ):
God help the children of our world today. Parents are not helping children by medicating them to be a zombie. Sorry! but that's the real truth. Take a look at common sense along with a lot of love and hugs and listening to your children.
Hey, guess what, that works.
Key words. Love, Hugs, Listening, and help your child believe in their self. You might be amazed.
They didn't ask to be born now did they. So lazy people get the picture ADD & ADHD is an excuse for your purpose not for the children. Love each other. Love yourself and love God. That works too.! Have a nice day.
Sincerely, J (:

Are you male or lady. women people latest upload/adhd diverse than adult males, it is why many women people are not clinically determined until plenty later in existence. women people tend to latest the "hyper" comparable to adult males do. no you may actually ever describe me as hyper, yet while i replaced into clinically determined 2 years in the past i replaced into clinically determined with adHd. young women tend to be wishy washy and day dreamy so as that they do no longer somewhat draw the attention as babies. this is as they grow to be adults and could look after little ones, activity, etc. and that they experience like they could't cope with it. in case you're a guy, sorry.

Not sure why you specifically inquire about Gen Yr's.

To answer your question no.....wouldn't then ALL gen y ppl have ADD or ADHD?

But ADD and ADHD is OVER diagnosed ...more and more each year!

All the kids(and now many adults) are medicated and doped up....sure makes mom, dad, and teachers happy! Feed them processed crap and loads of sugar and hope they can concentrate long enough to watch tv or play on the pc....b/c mom or dad(or teacher) sure as hell dosen't want to take the time!

Most ppl these days are over stimulated b/c of the bazillions of electronics and gadgets we have grown to become dependnt on....can anyone really concentrate anymore???

Many of the kids that are diagnosed are NOT really ADD or ADHD...IMO.
