Visit a chef. A lot of people don't realize how much chemistry is involved in cooking, plus it'll be fun.

Just did a little internet search and found some some companies that provide chemical products (plus 2 universities that I'm sure you've heard of - they take part in research projects). You may want to check out the source I show below and determine what may be most appropriate. I didn't research these, but maybe you could see if there are any companies that produce or research pharmecuticals there.

See if you can take a tour at a water treatment plant or perhaps a chemical plant or refinery. I'm sure a corporation would provide you with a tour of the facility. Hell, my class took a field trip to dominos pizza 20 years ago. Not joking.
