No, they cannot. They must snap the ball to the QB. If the ball is not touched by a defensive player or fumbled by an offensive player, this would be a five-yard penalty for illegally touching the ball, similar to a QB throwing a pass to a lineman.

No they can not. Trust me i was a center for 10 years. If they could they would on short plays instead of giving it to the QB. Funny story once we were kicking these guys but so the coach sent in the 3rd string but i was the only center. I snaped the ball and for some reason he did not grab it so i just took off but the refs thought it was a fumble so did not call a penalty. But no a center sneek is not allowed although in the past i think it was.

Only running backs and quarterbacks and recievers are permitted to run the ball. This is practical because the center would get laid out every single time however if the ball is fumbled it's fair game for everyone and if the center retrieves it he can run all over the field.

Most don't because they're kinda big.

Only if the center were to fumble the ball, recovers it and can get up and run. That is the only way.

I am not 100 percent on this one,, just as long as they dont have too many men already down field. If The QB can do it, I am not sure why the center cant do it
