We had DirecTV and got rid of it when we moved and ended up just getting Digital Cable. Oh, how I miss my DirecTV :( The setup was so simple to use and I just thought everything about it was very user friendly. I don't know who your cable company would be, but we have Comcast and the service is awful. Will definetly be going back to DirecTV after the promotion we got ends (we have cable internet which is awesome)

Digital Cable... My dad had Dish Network and he hated it and switched back to Digital Cable.
The worst thing with Dish is that you can't watch more than one channel on more than one tv... i.e. If someone's in the living room watching TV, and theres someone else in another room watching TV and they want to change the channel, it changes all of them (and probably ticks off the other person heh).
I'm not sure if all of Dish network is like that, maybe my dad didn't have it set up right. They have terrible customer service, and you will lose your local channels.
Digital Cable is nice because you can get DVR and tape all your favorite TV shows and watch them later!
My stepfather has Tivo and is in love with that, but it's tricky getting used to at first!

I went with DirecTV for the sole purpose of having NFL Sunday Ticket. If not for that then I'd just have regular digital cable. So if you are into NFL then that's the one to get since the others don't offer it.

i would choose dish also
they offer great deals, and they usually give you DRV(digital video recorder... like tivo) for free. i never had a problem with mine, and they were always calling to check up adn make sure everything was working.
the prices are much more logical and so much less expensive than the digital cable.
the only drawback is the 1 year commitment, if you cancel early you have to pay a fee.

i've got had all of it and prefer directv. forget with reference to the extra perfect channel options, etc. i like them by way of fact each and every time i call, they are extremely staggering and try to sparkling up my situation, not get me off the telephone. I extremely have an previous-college tivo, which they don't grant anymore. and from what i've got heard, their dvr wanna-be is very substandard, yet that became while they first got here out. i'm useful they have enhanced on the grounds that then. i could stay remote from dish. I had problems with my dish and problems with the flexibility to a) refer to somebody the place shall we comprehend one yet another b) getting all of us to care. They positioned a dish up the place they wouldn't have and that i became getting extremely no sign. they instructed me snow became on my dish and to call them lower back in 3 DAYS if endured not working. while they ultimately got here out, they stated they should in no way have positioned it up interior the 1st place by way of fact there have been too many wood and that i'm unable to get provider and acted like they have been doing me some great prefer for not charging me a cancellation cost. as quickly as I had a self-brought about equipment situation with directv, they got here out on a SUNDAY and glued it. there's a reason they are continuously prevailing shopper provider awards.
