I've been to Fuki in Palo Alto and I find it acceptable if not amazing. Are there better places?

Alas... I've only been to a couple of sushi restaurants in the South Bay and I must say that Fuki Sushi "takes the roll" (vs "takes the cake".. Yeah, I know.. bad joke).

I have recommendations for the North Bay, but as far as South Bay, I can honestly only recommend Fuki Sushi.

I'll keep an eye on this question for suggestions as I love sushi and am always on the lookout for great sushi restaurants.

Since you're in Palo Alto, try Miyake. It's popular w/ the Stanford crowd but for a reason. A fantastic Japanese place is Hatcho in Santa Clara (they have sushi and a bunch of authentic cuisine).

I personally like Yakko in Mountain View. The other one I can recommend is Seto in Sunnyvale. Both of these restaurants have been around for at least 20 years. They both have great sushi.
