I think u got it backwards. Love should sustain your marriage (among other things), not the other way around.

Love is a verb. It's not how you feel, but how you behave that sustains a marriage.

There are obvious underlying issues besides "marriage"..or unhappiness.

Marriage in and of itself does nothing, it's the inaction that causes disharmony in any relationship, whether you signed a marraige certificate or not.

Underlying issues causing friction must be resolved before the relationship gets dissolved!

I think you forgot the most important ingredient in a marriage - communication. Love and marriage cannot exist without communication.

I am not sure what your question is, sounds more like a statement of opinion, anyway, realistically, love is never enough, it takes more than just love to make a marriage 'work'.
